Not only are we commanded to give in Scripture, (Luke 6:38; Malachi 3:10) it is and should be the Christian’s greatest joy to give back to the Lord. It is an opportunity to thank Him for all He’s done for us. “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Corithians 9:7
